Gost
Restaurant · Glasgow
A Glasgow steak restaurant and cocktail bar in the city centre — parquet, mustard-and-burgundy leather, brass globes and a dried-floral installation that reads from the door.
Gōst (pronounced ghost) is a steak restaurant and cocktail bar in Glasgow’s city centre. Brand, interior and menu system designed as one piece — atmospheric reading both ways through the dinner-into-late-bar shift. The room had to do two jobs without changing furniture: serve the early-evening dining covers, then carry the late-night cocktail trade past 11pm without the room going flat.
The interior delivers the full evening arc on one set of materials — parquet floor, matte black slatted walls with vertical LED tubes, mustard buttoned banquettes, burgundy leather club chairs, brass globe pendants and a dried-floral ceiling installation in copper, ochre and rust. The lighting design steps down across the night in three preset scenes; the bottle theatre at the back bar steps up.
Brand and signage built around a heavy serif wordmark with a long-form tagline (“eat · drink · play”) that runs across menu, exterior and web. Service flow rebuilt around the bar so cocktail-led tables don’t compete with dining-led tables for staff attention at the 9pm peak.
Sited at 77 Bothwell Street near Glasgow Central Station. Part of The Superlative Collection.
